The Commission reviewed two of several Zoning Ordinance Text Amendments in the February 13, 2025 Work Session; accessory dwelling units (ADUs) and parking regulations. The board discussed ADUs, addressing public comments about the number of residents allowed, short-term rental restrictions, and universal design features. The board decided to increase the maximum number of occupants in an ADU to three and removed the requirement for universal design features. The parking regulations discussion centered around shifting from minimum to maximum parking requirements to reduce impervious surfaces, with feedback from the public on the practicality of these proposals. The board plans to continue reviewing these topics in future meetings and postponed three additional agenda items for future work sessions.
