Meeting Brief: June 18, 2024 City of Kalamazoo Historic District Commission

The Commission approved a request from 1014 Davis for alterations using in-kind replacement siding, the removal of non-historic windows, and replacement of 2 vinyl windows with wood windows . The Prairie style home was built in 1917 in the South Street – Vine Neighborhood area. The Commission again denied the demolition of a carriage barn/garage at 722 Eleanor. The Queen Anne structure was built in 1891 in the Stuart Historic District. The owner remains concerned about safety and the possibility of collapse.
