The Kalamazoo Zoning Board of Appeals met on January 8, 2026, to discuss variance requests from QuikTrip Corporation for a new gas station and from Discover Kalamazoo for a youth sports facility. The board approved QuikTrip’s request for an additional nine parking spaces. The board also reviewed several variance requests for the proposed Kalamazoo County Youth Sports Facility, approving those related to building height, impervious cover, and bike parking, but denying the request concerning woodland preservation.
