Kalamazoo City Commission – January 5, 2026 Business Meeting

In session until just before midnight, the Commission heard a variety of public comments in their regular board meeting. The community continues to voice concerns over housing , arts funding, and city infrastructure, and a lack of trust or confidence in elected leadership. The Commission went on to review the 2026 Budget and reviewed the Safe Streets 4 All plan. With higher attendance expected in upcoming meetings, the Commission maintains that City Hall will be the most effective means of accommodating all facets of public access to meeting coverage.

Further accommodations will be made as needed and the call-in option will likely return to Commission meetings temporarily.
