Kalamazoo Rotary Club’s “Oddlympics” puts FUN in Fundraising!

On Wednesday, September 24, 2025, the Rotary Club of Kalamazoo hosted its annual Oddlympics at Growlers Stadium a lighthearted, team-building event where local businesses compete in quirky games to support a great cause, like Dover Briches, where teams caught small inflatable balls in oversized pants. The event raised more than $5,000 for Friends of Kalamazoo Parks and Recreation, which funds summer camp scholarships for local kids who might not otherwise have the chance to attend. Beyond the laughter and fun, the Oddlympics fostered collaboration, strengthened local business connections, and showcased the Rotary Clubs century-long commitment to community service. Events like this continue to build community spirit and create meaningful opportunities for engagement across Kalamazoo. This recap of the 2025 “Oddlympics” features remarks from Rotary Club of Kalamazoo Member and Oddlympics Committee leader Rob Peterson, Rotary Club of Kalamazoo President Dann Sytsma, and Oddlympics Participant from Kzoom Digital Marketing, Jimmy Wright.
