Farmers Alley Theatre announced the launch of its 18th season with the acclaimed musical Come From Away. Featured in the video are Robert Weiner, Executive Director, and Jeremy Koch, Managing Artistic Director, who share the theaters vision of bringing intimate, powerful productions that benefit the community by fostering empathy and connection. Come From Away tells the true story of 38 planes diverted to Gander, Newfoundland, on September 11, 2001, leaving nearly 7,000 passengers stranded. The small Canadian town responded with extraordinary kindness, offering food, shelter, and friendship. The musical captures this spirit of generosity, reminding audiences of humanitys capacity for compassion during crisis. Running now through October 26, Come From Away offers Kalamazoo a chance to experience uplifting storytelling that feels both timely and historic.
