From Taco Bob’s to “Magical Cookies”: Kzoo Cream Opens Its Drive-Through

A once-familiar drive-through on South Westnedge has a brand-new flavor.

Kzoo Cream has officially opened its window, turning the former Taco Bob’s into a bakery known for creating what owner Kristi Potts calls a “magical cookie experience.”

Kristi started this venture as a one-woman operation, but with support from Michigan Women Forward, she’s planning to grow — bringing on local culinary students to help as the business expands. At the ribbon-cutting, Mayor David Anderson, Vice Mayor Jeanne Hess, and other community leaders showed up to cheer her on.

But the best part? Kristi’s passion for cookies isn’t just about sweets. It’s about creating opportunities and bringing something special to Kalamazoo.

Watch our full coverage of the ribbon cutting to hear from Kristi and city leaders — and see how a simple drive-through window is becoming a place for community connection.
